Learn how to influence your horse from the ground to improve her balance, refine her movement, and strengthen your partnership.
Imagine a conversation where every step is clear, connected, and purposeful. In this weekend clinic, you'll discover how to guide your horse in a way that builds trust, understanding, and ease of movement.
Working from the groundwork position—walking backward in front of your horse—you’ll see her posture, balance, and movement from a new perspective. Instead of driving her forward, you’ll invite her to come toward you, creating a deeper sense of connection and partnership.

We’ll focus on developing healthy movement, helping your horse find balance, softness, and quality in every step. You’ll learn how you can shape their posture, encourage sound biomechanics, and educate a responsive, attentive partner.

Whether you want to improve performance, prevent physical strain, or build a stronger bond, you’ll leave with a deeper understanding of how to support your horse’s body and mind.

This clinic is open to equines of all breeds and backgrounds, ages 2 and up. Activities will be chosen and adapted to suit the age and education level of each horse and partnership.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Those who are new to this type of groundwork will get a solid start and leave with lots of ideas to practice. Anyone more experienced will focus on developing greater refinement in their work and have the opportunity to work towards more advanced skills, including lateral movements and collection.

Each participant will get three individual lessons over the course of the weekend. There will be theory classes and full group activities both days, demonstrations, and plenty of opportunities to ask questions.

Connect with like-minded horse people, learn from each other, get inspired, and discover some fun new activities to try at home.
