Beat the winter blues and join our small-group groundwork classes designed to deepen your connection with your horse and refine essential training skills. These interactive sessions focus on developing healthy movement, clear communication, and a stronger bond with your equine partner — all while having plenty of fun along the way.

Each week, you'll train in a cozy indoor arena alongside a supportive group of likeminded horse people. With guided instruction and hands-on practice, you’ll engage in a variety of activities, including:

  • Leading work to build responsiveness and trust

  • Obstacle challenges that boost confidence and adaptability

  • Bombproofing exercises to foster calmness in unpredictable situations

  • Lungeing techniques to promote healthy movement and focus

  • And more! Each class offers fresh exercises to keep you and your horse engaged and learning together.

In addition, you'll also get lifetime access to online training videos to preview what we will be working on in class and to review the lessons and skills afterwards.

This series is open to horses of all breeds and backgrounds, ages 2 and up. Activities will be chosen and adapted to suit the age and education level of each horse and partnership. Whether you're looking to build a solid foundation or fine-tune your horse's skills, this is a unique opportunity to train consistently in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

Spots are limited to ensure personalized guidance and plenty of one-on-one support. Reserve your place today and experience the power of purposeful groundwork for you and your horse!

LOGISTICS

All classes will be held in the spacious indoor arena. There is plenty of trailer parking available. A washroom is available in the barn.

Classes will be 60 minutes long, with a maximum of four participants per class. The series will be progressive, with each week building upon the previous. The series is offered as a package, and students are strongly encouraged to attend every week if possible.

In the case of particularly bad weather or unsafe road conditions, the classes will be cancelled. Two additional dates, March 11 and 18, will be reserved as backups if needed.
